    1. I bought this pancake maker based on its glowing reviews, one person even stated that her ideal setting was no. Well i’ve got mine up to no. 6 (max) and it still takes 5 to 7 mins per pancake. Admittedly i’m used to having 2 hot frying pans on the go and keeping up with the demand but the machine that i’ve got would take over 1/2. Hr to supply 2 people with 3 pancakes each. I suppose it’s always possible that i have a machine with a badly adjusted thermostat.

    Not only does it take time to learn to spread batter evenly it also takes much trial and error to find the best temperature which allows even spreading before mixture has set. I found a good temperature to be 2. There have been no complaints about size ( large ) or flavour from my pancake loving family.
