    Excellent machine bought as a replacement for a krupps machine, which is physically almost identical. However, this machine has many improvements over our old one, including a proper on/off switch and a better design to the water tank.     Bought this little machine as a christmas gift for my husband. I wanted a machine that was small, and would fit on the limited bench space we have available. I did a fair bit of shopping around to compare different models and eventually plumped for a nespresso pixie clips. It was nice and compact, and comes with interchangeable side panels, so you can change them to suit your decor. It was a bit more expensive than some of the nespresso machines i’d seen, but magimix is a name i trust, so i went ahead and bought it. Setting it up was very simple, and it comes with a handy quickstart guide. The water heats up very quickly, and hubby gets a good size mugful of coffee from one pod. The pods are very easy to insert, and you can either use a small cup as shown on the illustration, or, if you lift up the guard, you can get a larger cup/mug in place. The machine is a little noisier than i expected, but nothing untoward, and you can get recycling bags to enable you to recycle the used pods. Hubby loves it, and can get himself a cup of freshly brewed coffee literally in seconds.

    1. This thing shouts quality, really pleased we got this version. It looks expensive, even if there’s lots of plastic. Easy to use and easy to clean. The drip tray and plastic box above it all pull out in one go, only held in place with a magnet. The clear plastic tray then lifts out and all can be cleaned nice and easily. If you have larger cups, the tray folds up and gives you just enough space to stick a cup under. The water container lifts out after you open the lid. Closing the lid clips it onto the main unit – quite clever.

    Compact machine, of the usual (high) nespresso standard. Does 100% of the job for me. Arrived relatively fast (international shipment). The tray and the waste capsules container are a little bit flimsy and cheap-looking (it’s part of the lightweight design, i guess) but it’s fine with me.

    As a self-confessed coffee addict i’ve been ‘making do’ with millicano for some time as i don’t like normal instant coffee but, i can’t be fussed with making a cafetiere all the time. Whilst on holiday, we had a nespresso machine in our hotel room and when we came back from holiday i decided to purchase a machine for home as i was so impressed with both the ease of use and the fantastic coffee the machine made. The machine arrived much quicker than was originally stated which was a bonus plus, it came with 16 sample pods to try. We have since purchased a trial pack of 150 mixed coffee pods off the nespresso website which we are currently working our way through whilst scoring them out of 10 so we know which to re-order. Yes, it’s an expensive habit to get in to but, if you love your coffee as much as we do, i highly recommend buying a nespresso pixie for it’s ease of use, attractive looks, space saving design and fabulous coffee making.
