De’Longhi Caffe’ Corso ESAM2800 : Great machine, great price and really nice coffee. No Capsules to recycle .

Have used for several months now and it produces an excellent cup of coffee. Sent for service once and returned promptly and continues to perform well.

A coffee maker is our most used kitchen appliance, so we decided to spend a bit more than normal on a new one. This was half price in the sale, which was a bonus. It makes a great cup of coffee. 🙂 easy to use and easy to clean.

Best coffee machine i’ve ever had, and i’ve had a few. It self cleans before and after every cup made, running hot water through the spouts (so have a cup ready for this). It also disposes used coffee in a inner tub and lets you know when it needs emptying. This seems to be based on timescale rather than the amount of used coffee is in the disposal tub. The self clean action is rather loud, but worth it and only lasts a few seconds. The taste of the coffee is fab – and if used on the greatest strength setting, it’s seriously strong.

We have been using tesco coffee beans and this has produced a lovely cup of coffee. The steamer is good but produces a very high pitched noise which spoils my dog unfortunately but may just be him.

  • An excellent machine at a great price
  • Fantastic value for money, great bean to cup machine
  • This is a brilliant coffee machine

De’Longhi Caffe’ Corso ESAM2800.SB Bean to Cup, Silver and Black

  • 15 bar pressure, removable 1.8 L water tank
  • Electronic steam and coffee thermostat for accurate steam control
  • Suitable for fresh coffee beans. Beans container capacity- 200 gram
  • Integrated professional burr grinder with 7 adjustable coarseness settings, advanced boiler system (thermoblock)

To date this machine has excelled in producing many excellent cups of coffee. It is easy to operate and clean. As always i would recommend that the machine is descaled every 3-4 weeks even if the descale warning light does not come in to keep it in the best condition.

We have owned another delonghi bean-to-cup from the eletta range (45. It’s proved ultra-reliable and dispensed over 7000 coffees (we are coffee addicts), so we know the products are well designed and reliable. The esam2800 is an entry-level model from the magnifica range and was bought for use in our home office and as a backup for when the eletta finally goes off for a full-service in 2018. My wife is working away from home for 8 months so has taken the esam2800 for her morning/evening fix of freshly brewed coffee. The 2800 works well and is amazing value for money at the current street price (as low as £199). In operation, it is significantly noisier than the eletta and the coffee dispensed is slightly less smooth in back-to-back testing with the eletta but in isolation, it makes excellent espresso with good crema and i prefer the steam wand (to make latte, cappuccino, flat white) on this model than the elleta at 1/4 of the price. It is easy to clean and maintain and as long as you run through the descale cycle once a month should serve you well.

Just after having finished my second ever cup using this machine. Honest cafe quality coffee, with a really strong kick to it. I’m used to aeropress coffee which is nowhere near as strong. It’s great being able to have really delicious coffee with minimal effort, and for the coffee to actually wake me up. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this to friends or family.

I’ve always wanted one of these. Can’t stop making coffees with it and teaching myself how to make cappuccinos other coffee drinks. Yes, you do need to play around for the settings to get it right how you want it (but even the instructions state that clearly to)worth every penny. Bye bye starbucks and costa coffeei’ve got it all here at homei wish i bought one years ago. And don’t forget, great coffee and much greener than these coffee pod things. No plastic or metal to throw away. Used compost grounds are going straight into my garden and compost. A win wincan’t rate this enough. Other lower reviews must be from people who haven’t got their machine set up right (bean grinder to corse for example)and as for the people saying is noisy. And it’s not doing it for hours. It’s not as loud as my old electric coffee grinder that’s for sureit’s really not that bad.

Oh yes, a great price and really nothing to moan about from us. Takes a few uses before you get that proper taste but when it does we were very happy.

Bought it as a present & he finds it easy to use & gives great coffeesome reviews say its noisey but i don’t think it’s that bad considering it grinds the beans.

It makes very nice coffee but not for the first day. When you buy it expect some cups like a tea and don’t forget to set temperature of water. Cleaning is easy and don’t take long. And after i finish using machine i drain some hot water to keep it clean. I think it will help to maintain a long lasting service.

This is a brilliant coffee machine. I am quite a serious coffee lover. We used an italian stove top moka pot for years, and it always made excellent coffee, but i wanted something that could make me amazing lattes without all the faff and expense. 1) for excellent espresso, set the coffee volume on the front to maximum and the water volume to minimum. I set the grinder on the inside to around 4. I found any lower (3 or 2) resulted in burnt coffee, and any higher resulted in coffee that was too weak. 2) buy a milk jug for frothing. I find a small (330ml) one is about right for 1 or 2 cups of latte. 3) source a good local or online coffee bean supplier and buy good quality fresh beans – i personally don’t think very highly of those off the shelf supermarket type beans, which are usually roasted too much and are not really very fresh. We usually source our coffee from a great little local coffee supplier in dundee and sometimes in the newcastle market.

Like the coffee, shame that there were some parts missing – only the descaler and the cloths to clean the machine, since it was supposed to be as good as new?. However, for the price it is really good, would recommend as a coffee maker definitely.

I’ve owned an esam-4200 for several years and been exceptionally pleased with it. On looking to buy a house-warming present i decided to go with this model which seems marginally newer and looks marginally more modern. It makes great coffee and if you ignore the outside cover (and the strange grizzly bars over the beans holder) then it seems exactly the same as my esam-4200 (which if you remember i was very pleased with) – just slightly smaller, and slightly quieter and looking at price tracking, slightly cheaper most of the time too.

When you arr setting the grinder put 3 or 4 for best results.

This coffee machine is brilliant. I love starbucks and costa, with this i can make my own at home. Can make cappuccino’s latte’s americano.

Quite delighted with this coffee machine – tends to make wonderful espresso each individual time, set-up took a little bit of focus but was straight ahead enough, some terrific youtube movies obtainable on the regime maintenance – finest to get the descaler with the equipment.

So far so fantastic, would make a nice drink, the cup warmer is garbage and water tank fairly tiny so soon after two or 3 cups you have to take out the tank and refil it. Not perfect for business use but satisfactory for occasional household use. Not too noisy when you remember what is heading on within with grinders etc.

Excellent device, tends to make exceptional coffee time just after time. Love my coffee adore this machine.

My initial bean-to-cup coffee maker and i am delighted with it. It was incredibly straightforward to established up and get functioning. The manual is straightforward to stick to and de’longhi also have a ‘how-to’ portion on youtube which men and women may possibly come across valuable, enter ‘how to video clips for de’longhi magnifica esam 04’ in the search box and among the video clips listed you should really see a playlist of 19 video clips. Even though these videos relate to the magnifica equipment it shares the exact attributes as this caffe corso so should really be useful if anybody gets trapped applying the guide. I propose looking at through the consumer handbook (it truly is not too extensive) and acquainting oneself with the diverse dials/buttons before even switching it on. Then adhere to the methods in the guide to established-up the machine. Do the h2o hardness exam initially with the test strip supplied, then flip to web site 15 in the manual to established the h2o hardness ( this will control how normally the machine needs descaling). Then go back again to the starting to established up espresso energy, drinking water temperature etc. It may well acquire you two or 3 coffees in advance of you have the equipment set to your liking. I like my coffee pretty strong so i set the water temp. To a single down below max and the espresso energy to a person notch past the centre position and i have experienced great espresso ideal from the 1st cup. I have seen reviews that the coffee developed is not hot ample. There are a pair of points you can do – one. Verify that you have set the water temperature large sufficient, two.

Pleasantly stunned with early xmas current for my husband. My spouse has eventually received his head about use of device. Fine espresso with just about every cup built, following a couple hiccups.

I formerly had the de’longhi iconia espresso maker which was a terrific machine and experienced been likely for lots of many years but the seal on the milk steamer had long gone so that bit was no for a longer time useable. I also got fed up of finding espresso grains almost everywhere, and emptying the made use of grinds also turned a messy enterprise, primarily right before my first coffee of the working day. It was time for an improve to a bean to cup machine. I selected this distinct model generally because of the simplicity of cleansing, and that it was not way too costly. Two months on, i have to say am content with my order. We have about 3 or 4 espresso photographs each day and a 250g bag of beans lasts about a 7 days. My partner can now make his have coffee which is also a good bonusi seriously like the dials on the front which let you to adjust the amount of money of coffee dispensed (from a ristretto to an americano) and the strength of the coffee. I need to confess i’ve not experimented with incorporating pre-ground espresso into it still but i like that you can have the selection. Cleaning the machine is a doddle and it has a flush operate which runs very hot drinking water as a result of the filter which i use following every single espresso to maintain it thoroughly clean. The warning lights on the machine by itself are really excellent but there isn’t a warning to convey to you to put much more beans in the hopper which would be useful.

    1. I previously had the de’longhi iconia espresso maker which was a great machine and had been going for many years but the seal on the milk steamer had gone so that bit was no longer useable. I also got fed up of getting coffee grains everywhere, and emptying the used grinds also became a messy business, especially before my first coffee of the day. It was time for an upgrade to a bean to cup machine. I chose this particular model mostly because of the ease of cleaning, and that it was not too expensive. Two months on, i have to say am happy with my purchase. We have about 3 or 4 espresso shots every day and a 250g bag of beans lasts about a week. My husband can now make his own coffee which is also a great bonusi really like the dials on the front which allow you to adjust the amount of coffee dispensed (from a ristretto to an americano) and the strength of the coffee. I must admit i’ve not tried adding pre-ground coffee into it yet but i like that you can have the choice. Cleaning the machine is a doddle and it has a flush function which runs hot water through the filter which i use after every coffee to keep it clean. The warning lights on the machine itself are really good but there isn’t a warning to tell you to put more beans in the hopper which would be useful.

Love this, my first ‘ proper’ coffee machine great coffee and easy to use.
      1. Put in beans and water, out comes coffee. The controls are clear and easy to use, it has the biggest water tank i could find in a non-professional coffee machine, and it isn’t too fiddly to fill or empty. It is slow to start up when you power on and it would also be better if the bean section would hold a standard bag of coffee beans (257grammes i think). It’s annoying to fill the machine and have a 1/2″ of beans left in the bottom of the bag.

    1. Versatile machine with independent variable quantity (of water), and variable strength settings by varying the quantity of beans that are ground.

It was a present and the preson receiving it is very happy.
      1. Mine “broke” after not too much use (20 cups maybe). The grinder started making clicking noises and stopped grinding. The problem here is that access to the grinder to try and see what’s going wrong is really limited, after taking the other bits out of the machine, tipping it back to remove the beans from the hopper into a bowl and then turning it upside down to clear out any remaining junk. I still couldn’t see any obvious block, though given the design i couldn’t really get in very close to look at it. A few more beans in and same result clicking noises and the beans being spit back out of the grinder. I’m not marking this down because of the breakdown (that happens to even the best company and this may still just be a simple blockage), but because the design means no real access to the grinder if you do get problems. I doubt i’ll by the same model again for that reason. The coffee it did produce was fine.

I read all the reviews and finally decided to buy one of these, i was so disappointed and on the verge of sending it back because of the bitter coffee when i read more of the reviews and realised the grinder setting on the top of the coffee bean holder was set far too low at 1 i changed it to 5 and what a transformation, i have the coffee cup size just a few notches above the smallest size and the bean strength at 12 the bean sitting at the top of the dial. I had a nespresso machine before this and this is as good if not better, i have used the lavassa rossa beans and also m and s italian beans both very good, enjoy.

Brilliant piece of kit, fresh ground coffee just the way you like it in a matter of minutes, easy to set up and easy to clean with minimum fuss. No filter papers or sloppy grounds to dispose of, just nice neat hokey pucks of compressed coffee. Milk frother is a bit of a kerfuffle but if you microwave the milk 1st it makes it easier.

Great coffee but the eco setting does not work to allow change of auto shut off. It means it goes of at the shortest setting and i can find no way of re setting as the sequence in the instructions does not work.
