Crock-Pot 1.8L Saute Rice Cooker Black : Crock Pot 1.8L

I love it but my hubby is not too convinced. Yes the saute function though handy is a bit slow but love the fact you can do other rice type dishes instead of plain white rice. The cup is only 160ml but it is more than enough for 2-3 people if you follow their ratio of rice:water. Like the design, it actually sits quite nicely in the kitchen.

Excellent service quick delivery also product is very good quality.

Crock-Pot 1.8L Saute Rice Cooker Black

Cooks rice, switches off & keeps the rice warm.

A long life rice cooker, the teflon coating is long lasting and only showed some minor sign of wearing off after all these months. Always use a wood spatula while scooping the rice out.

Remember to remove the pot and keep it outside else the bottom portion of the rice gets plasticky.

Crock-Pot 1.8L Saute Rice Cooker Black : Great rice cooker, cooks rice perfectly every time.

This crock-pot is very good, as my last one did not saute, cooks well without burning.

This is top quality and my wife lived it. If you read the instructions properly then it will be very easy to use. No sticking etc, we have had it for a while now.

Never been very good at making rice , i was a bit unsure it was going to work and holy moly i now have fuffy rice yah.

A fantastic product at reasonable price. It is so easy to operate that even a person new to the kitchen can operate it. The water to rice portions however needs to be managed properly. If it’s white rice then 2: 1 (water to rice) and 3 : 1 (for brown rice) cooks rice to the perfection.

Box severely damaged, it was a gift so not impressed.

Have used this nearly every day since purchase ,,, its a great machine.

We are a rice eating family and have used many rice cookers over the past. This is a good nice looking cooker which we can bring to the table. We only cook rice as other use of the cooker did not work properly. There is one bad thing about this cooker is if we keep ‘keep warm’ function for a long time the rice become soggy.

I can’t understand why it’s taken me so many decades to buy a rice cooker instead of making do. But i do now understand why so many asian cooks use one, because it produces perfect rice at the touch of a button.

Makes brilliant rice every time.

The rice sometimes gets a bit crispy on the bottom (maybe i still need to master the rice to water ratio) so i always add a little extra to account for this but i’ve had this cooker for a while now and it works really well and looks good too. Overally, very happy with it.

Looks great on the outside, but haven’t used it yet.

At first we weren’t sure about this because of 2 main reasons: (1) no water level measurements inside per cup of rice and (2) the led lights while cooking are barely visible – ridiculous really. Looks nice, works well but let down buy these 2 factors. We couldn’t be bothered to return it, and have used it and got used to it. However we did keep the insert of our previous rice cooker which does have water level markings – so we use this to wash the rice and measure water level and then pour rice and water into this rice cooker. This also prevents the non-stick being damaged from washing the rice in the new rice cooker. Its a workaround that has worked for us.

Had a frying feature that i had not been aware of but works amazingly well – reduces the mess in the kitchen to one pot wonder.

Bought for my son who really likes it although could have done with one slightly smaller.

Very good just what i was looking for thank you.

Very good and making rice with meat and veg together then adding the rice brill.

  1. 2 stars for the instructions that are just plain wrong, 4 stars for the item once you’ve sorted that out. One star deducted because of the massive steam vent, could easily be smaller. This was bought to replace our previous rice cooker which lasted 15 years and was used daily. First time i used the new one i followed the instructions and the water evaporated and the rice stuck to the bottom and wasn’t cooked. Luckily i switched it off before it burnt. The instructions require you to use less water than you’d use if you were cooking rice in a pan with a heavy lid and no steam vent. Try it with double the amount of water to rice (ie 2 cups of rice and 4 cups of water) and you’ll be ok.

    – often refuses to switch to “cook” mode- often switches from “cook” mode to “keep warm” mode partway through cooking, leaving partially cooked rice floating in luke-warm water – not great when the rest of the meal is ready- non-stick coating started peeling off less than 6 months after purchase, often being mixed in with the cooked rice- this was a replacement product for another crock-pot from the same brand – that one stopped working after less than 3 months.

    1. All good in terms of how it cooks the rice , but every time it is cooking water comes off the lid and it ends up all around the table. The lid doesn’t close properly and with the steam it moves up and lets the water and steam escape on the sides.

  5. I bought this as a present for my sister and she really loves it.
